One Down, One to Go

The almost finished product

Whew. So we’re approaching the final stages of the container build, and we also sandwiched in the fitting out of our little shop at the church. We’re open but will only be doing an official big LAUNCH after we first launch the roastery, because we want to just focus all our efforts on opening at Grouded. What a feeling , though. It’s like none other. Can I just say: never, ever, ever EVER look down on your small beginnings. Just keep working, stay on it like a bulldog on the pants leg of a burglar, and you WILL be rewarded. There’s nothing sweeter than that feeling of accomplishment when you know that you deserve it. Nobody can take away from that. Nuff said. Here are some photos:

My brother and his family came to visit and unwittingly got roped into the work!

The almost finished product, with a blackboard wall full of messages

I can’t help it, I’m so proud of this little shop. It was made with so much love, so much effort, in record time I think, and it meant so much more because my brother Justin, Elize, and my baby nephew were here to be apart of it. Family and coffee, guys, can’t go wrong.
